In an industrial water treatment plant, the degasser is one of the quieter pieces of equipment. It may simply appear as an unpressurised tower packed with plastic media, positioned between reverse osmosis and the downstream deionisation or EDI system. It does not have the visual complexity of an RO skid or the chemical requirements of an ion exchange plant.
